Graha Shanti vs. a Specific Planet Puja

When a full Navagraha remedy is appropriate, and when a focused Sun, Moon, Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu puja is cleaner.

People often ask whether they should book one planet-specific puja or a complete Graha Shanti. The answer depends on how targeted the need is.

Specific planet puja

A focused planet puja is best when an astrologer has clearly identified one planet as the active concern. Examples include Shani Shanti during a difficult Saturn period, Rahu Shanti during sudden reversals, or Chandra Shanti for emotional turbulence connected to Moon affliction.

Full Graha Shanti

Graha Shanti is broader. It is appropriate when multiple planets are involved, the chart picture is unclear, or the devotee wants a balanced ritual for a major transition such as marriage, relocation, business launch, or a difficult dasha change.

Why not always choose the biggest ritual?

Vedic remediation is not only about intensity. It is about fit. A precise ritual performed with the right sankalpam is usually cleaner than an oversized ritual chosen from fear.

When you already have an astrologer recommendation, follow it. When you do not, a consultation can help decide whether the situation calls for a targeted remedy or a broader planetary pacification.
